Auto Appraisal Unit Claims Manager

We're seeking a seasoned Claims Manager to lead our Auto Appraisal Unit in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for directing and coordinating activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct and coordinate activities to achieve quality and compliance objectives of repairs performed by vendors, in accordance with Intact policies and procedures.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance on indemnity and expense control, as well as optimal customer experience.
- Train and support employees on software and techniques used.
- Perform quality control of estimates produced by in-house appraisers and body shops.
- Manage team activities, organizing, planning, and controlling the optimal use of human, financial, and material resources.
- Support trusted networks for complaints related to estimates.
- Participate in committees related to estimation and stay aware of industry techniques.
- College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of management, coaching, and mentoring experience, preferably in a claims environment.
- Knowledge of the appraisal process and software.
- Experience leading a team to achieve organizational objectives.
- Project management and change management skills are an asset.
