We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Management Specialist to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As an Auto Appraisal Unit Claims Manager, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of our Field Appraisal team to achieve quality and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the Field Appraisal team to ensure quality and compliance objectives are met.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to internal and external estimators and various Intact resources.
  • Provide training and technical support to employees on software and techniques used.
  • Perform quality control of estimates produced by in-house appraisers and body shops.
  • Manage the activities of the team by organizing, planning, and controlling the optimal use of human, financial, and material resources.
  • Support the teams of our trusted networks for complaints related to estimates.
  • Participate in various committees in the field of estimation and stay aware of industry techniques.

Requirements

  • College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of management, coaching, and mentoring experience, preferably in a claims environment.
  • Knowledge of the appraisal process and software.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to lead a team to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Project management and change management skills are an asset.
  • Ability to engage and mobilize a team.
  • Can build relationships based on trust and collaboration.
