Position Summary: The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership and direction to our insurance offices in the Mid-Atlantic region, which includes various states. This role involves overseeing operations, managing teams, driving growth, and maintaining client relationships to ensure the agency achieves its financial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic vision and effective leadership to guide teams in meeting business objectives.
- Manage daily operations across multiple agency locations, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Formulate and implement strategies to enhance market presence, boost sales, and stimulate business growth.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities and partnerships to diversify revenue streams.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and industry professionals.
- Address complex client inquiries and negotiate insurance policies to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with Shared Services to maximize operational efficiency.
- Oversee the agency's budget and financial performance, ensuring targets are met.
- Analyze financial reports and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and industry standards.
- Explore potential acquisition opportunities within the region.
- Work with leaders in the PCF network to drive growth and achieve key objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an insurance brokerage or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance operations, market dynamics, and financial management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications or licenses in the insurance sector (e.g., CPCU, CIC).
- Experience with AMS 360 and Salesforce.
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
Compensation:
- Starting salary of $150,000 plus bonus opportunities.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid work model with 50% travel required.
- Comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, life insurance, flexible paid time off, and 401K.
