About the Opportunity

The Senior Systems Analyst will play a key role in evaluating, designing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting information management and technology solutions, projects, and services across Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. This position will collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to rationalize disparate systems and implement the OPOR strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate requests for change, data retrieval, and optimization opportunities;
  • Troubleshoot and assist with the resolution of application errors and other system issues;
  • Develop materials and communicate system changes to end users;
  • Build and maintain system configuration items in line with best practice and stakeholder approvals.
About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Technology, Business Analysis, or Health Related field, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Python,.NET, SQL, and CCL. Experience in data integration, data management, and implementing data standards is also essential.

Requirements
  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Python,.NET, SQL, and CCL;
  • Experience in data integration, data management, and implementing data standards;
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data lineage;
  • Experience in supporting clinical application systems and related services in a complex healthcare organizational environment;
  • Ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult scenarios to clinical and business staff.
