About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at ALTIUS PHYSIOTHERAPY & WELLNESS LTD. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Administer evaluative tests to assess patients' physical abilities and develop treatment plans under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
    • Carry out treatment programs to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Patient Support
    • Assist health care professionals in providing patient care, including examining patients and helping medical examiners in charge.
    • Help physical therapists with patient assessments and treatment plans.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
    • Process files and paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in MS Office to manage patient records and communicate with the healthcare team.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced office environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as physiotherapy or healthcare administration.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a physiotherapy or occupational therapy department.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks.
