Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a key member of our winter maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including backhoes, to assist with snow removal and other winter maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to clear snow and ice from roads, sidewalks, and other areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist with de-icing and salting operations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and report progress and any obstacles encountered to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, or landscaping.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Valid Backhoe Operator certification (asset).
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions, and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is moderate but can be more than moderate at times.
