Job Summary

Equipment Sales & Service Limited is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the effective repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and machinery at our Ottawa location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform full repairs and maintenance on a variety of construction and mining equipment, ensuring high levels of quality and efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs, adhering to established methods and procedures.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, providing professional and respectful service.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs, a Journeyman Mechanics License (421A Heavy Duty Mechanic), and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong mechanical skills, good communication skills, and good, safe work habits. A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, and the ability to perform repairs for all major equipment systems.
