Job Overview:

The role of the Technical Support Specialist encompasses the responsibility of addressing advanced assistance inquiries directed to the technical services division. This position requires collaboration with level 1 support technicians and direct engagement with clients to deliver solutions and resolve intermediate-level issues. Key duties also involve providing technical guidance, working alongside research and development teams, participating in product enhancement initiatives, and aiding in the resolution of software defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address advanced assistance inquiries and support level 1 technicians
  • Offer technical guidance and facilitate knowledge transfer within the technical services division
  • Utilize professional judgment to assess issues and collaborate with various departments
  • Investigate security incidents related to products and engage in security incident committees
  • Work in conjunction with R&D teams to enhance solution implementation
  • Engage in complex projects that require analytical thinking, independence, effective communication, and leadership
  • Assist in the resolution of software defects and contribute to product enhancements
  • Participate in product development activities
  • Execute additional tasks as necessary

Required Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server
  • Fundamental understanding of common hypervisors
  • Expertise in Linux, Containers, Docker, DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and redundancy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DEC/Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT, with level 2 or 3 expertise
  • Familiarity with the public sector, especially in municipal contexts
