About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Leader to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational processes of our sector, ensuring the achievement of production objectives, and driving continuous improvement through the use of operational excellence concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
  • Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.
  • Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.
  • Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.
  • Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain communication with other departments for any issue related to your sector.
  • Ensure continuous improvement through the use of operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.
  • Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance, and their progress.
  • Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.
Requirements
  • You have a college or university degree in aeronautics, engineering, operations management, or a related field.
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
  • You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
  • You demonstrate managerial courage when managing personnel.
  • You are available, flexible, and motivated by a stimulating and changing environment.
  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • You are bilingual.
