Position Overview:

Reporting to the Global Sales Development Manager, the Outbound Sales Development Representative plays a crucial role in driving new revenue streams for the organization. Your primary focus will be to engage potential clients, cultivate relationships with targeted accounts, and participate in various initiatives aimed at securing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify untapped industries, accounts, and roles.
  • Craft tailored outreach communications to key decision-makers within Enterprise accounts.
  • Utilize Salesforce to generate account lists and revive inactive leads, re-engaging them in the sales process.
  • Manage a dedicated list of accounts through an outbound engagement strategy that includes calls, emails, video interactions, and social media outreach.
  • Develop expertise in our Ideal Customer Profile and identify potential companies for outbound prospecting.
  • Employ a variety of communication methods, prospecting tools, and social platforms to connect with and target new prospects.
  • Schedule and conduct introductory calls with leads you generate, collaborating with an Account Executive to assess client needs and business challenges using established sales methodologies.
  • As a consistent communicator and collaborative team member, you will facilitate alignment between marketing, SDR, and Sales teams, ensuring accurate data entry in Salesforce CRM with a focus on data integrity.
  • Transition qualified leads from your pipeline to an Account Executive's pipeline to advance the customer journey and purchasing process.
  • Master our technology stack, which includes Salesforce, Salesloft, Crunchbase, Zoominfo, Sales Navigator, among others.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or Business Development Representative (BDR) in a B2B SaaS environment, particularly with enterprise-level clients.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • A creative thinker who can adapt messaging quickly to suit various conversations.
  • A driven, confident, and outgoing individual with a competitive mindset.
  • Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving startup environment.
  • Proficient in using technology and engaging in phone and video meetings.
  • Background in Sales and Customer Service is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and other CRM/sales outreach platforms.
  • Experience in outbound sales.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and thrive in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Strong resilience to handle rejection and maintain a positive outlook in a high-pressure sales context.
  • Solution-oriented mindset, focusing on resolving customer and sales challenges effectively.
  • A curious individual with a passion for continuous learning, demonstrating a proactive approach to understanding products, industry trends, and customer needs.

Compensation Transparency:

We adopt a market-based and data-driven approach to compensation, utilizing information from reliable third-party sources to gauge the market value of roles based on function, level, location, and scope.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $50,000—$55,000 CAD. However, the actual pay may vary based on various factors, including qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
