About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites - High Level. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-In/Check-Out
    • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Front Desk Operations
    • Investigate complaints and claims in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Resolve guest complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provide information on hotel facilities and services to guests.
    • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff.
    • Assist guests with special needs and provide support as required.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
    • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Teamwork and Support
    • Work collaboratively with other front desk staff to ensure seamless service to guests.
    • Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Experience an asset, but not required.
Work Environment

The Hotel Front Desk Clerk will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, interacting with guests and staff on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
