About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Editorial Content Specialist to join our team at Dealmoon Canada. As an Editorial Content Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our published content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and Assess Content: Carefully review and evaluate the suitability of material for publication, taking into account factors such as relevance, accuracy, and tone.
  • Make Editorial Decisions: Make informed decisions on the significance of copy and what to implement, ensuring that our content meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Plan and Coordinate Content: Plan the layout or format of copy according to space or time allocations, ensuring that our content is engaging and effective.
  • Publish and Distribute Content: Publish text for distribution, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and meets our quality standards.
  • Proofread and Edit: Detect and correct errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax, ensuring that our content is error-free and polished.
  • Shorten or Lengthen Content: Shorten or lengthen copy as needed, ensuring that it is concise and effective.
  • Plan Coverage and Assign Work: Plan coverage of upcoming events and assign work accordingly, ensuring that our content is timely and relevant.
  • Collaborate with Authors and Staff: Confer with authors, staff writers, reporters, and others regarding revisions to copy, ensuring that our content is accurate and meets our quality standards.
  • Coordinate Activities and Meet Deadlines: Plan and coordinate activities of staff and assure production deadlines are met, ensuring that our content is delivered on time and to the highest standards.
  • Write and Prepare Additional Content: Write or prepare introductions, marketing and promotional materials, bibliographic references, indexes, and other text as needed, ensuring that our content is engaging and effective.
