Clinical Educator

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in upholding the vision, mission, values, and strategic priorities of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Deliver Continuing Education: Collaborate with other professional disciplines to develop, deliver, and evaluate continuing clinical education programs that incorporate evidence-based research.
- Client Focused: Provide education to nursing staff, clients, and other professional disciplines in a variety of settings, including clinical, community, and educational institutions.
- Professional Development: Recognize and fulfill professional responsibilities by practicing in a manner consistent with professional obligations, including the Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics and the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice.
- Education Planning and Coordination: Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the delivery of clinical education to specific sites and/or program areas, in collaboration with the Regional Manager of Clinical Education and other stakeholders.
- Staff Support and Feedback: Provide support and feedback to staff and colleagues related to clinical education and best practice research.
- Client/Patient Care Standards: Assist in achieving and maintaining client/patient care best practice standards in accordance with professional, facility, and regional standards.
- Education Resources and Instruction: Develop and maintain education information resources, provide instruction and/or resources for staff, and ensure content is current with best practice research data.
- Liaison and Collaboration: Serve as a liaison with educational institutions and participate in the development and review of relevant policies and procedures.
- Regional and Clinical Orientation: Participate in the Regional and Regional Clinical Orientation of staff/affiliated students and assist in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical orientation programs for new nurses/clinical staff.
- Program Development and Evaluation: Assist in developing presentations and programs for Clinical Education Services, evaluate staff/students' knowledge and clinical progress, and provide feedback both formally and informally.
- Mentorship and Orientation: Assist with mentorship and orientation of graduate nurses, if applicable, and identify and recommend actions that will improve the effective functioning of the clinical education team.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain necessary reports, records, and statistics, and prepare short and long-term planning goals and programs to address identified needs.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong background in nursing education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
