Key Responsibilities

As a Client Associate at CIBC Wood Gundy, you'll be responsible for creating and growing client portfolios through specialized relationship management, reliable investment advice, and exceptional client service. You'll work closely with a team of CIBC Wood Gundy investment advisors to help them manage their clients' portfolios and establish new business relationships. You'll communicate directly with high-net-worth clients to provide support, identify business opportunities, and proactively improve the client experience.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Client Mobilization - Prioritize each client's experience and establish a personal rapport to make every interaction meaningful. Anticipate clients' needs and communicate quickly with your team to establish trust and deepen client relationships. Find activities, processes, and opportunities to improve the client experience.

  • Business Expansion - Proactively find business opportunities for your team. Work closely with investment advisors to support business expansion activities and contribute to creating investment plans based on clients' profiles, objectives, and risk tolerance compared to returns.

  • Relationship Building - Promote the CIBC brand in your community by participating in local activities and taking part in marketing and outreach efforts. Expand your network to create lasting connections that will bring future opportunities.

    • You're a Certified Professional - You have a current and compliant registration as a Representative (RP) and have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and the Conduct Course (CC). A Registered Investment Representative (RIR) designation is an asset. Practical experience in the financial services and brokerage sectors and a working knowledge of various listed instruments are required.
