About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Structural Metal Fabricator to join our team at Avilion Metalcraft Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality metal structures and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Management: Determine the required materials for each project and ensure they are sourced and delivered on time.
  • Design Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to plan the most efficient methods and sequences of operation.
  • Layout and Fabrication: Lay out reference points and patterns, and assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
  • Machining and Welding: Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, and weld or bolt sections together.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test fabricated components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Forklift Operator Certification and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, experience with heavy-duty metal-working machines, and knowledge of AutoCAD.
