Health and Housing Community Planning Manager

Position Overview
The Health and Housing Community Planning Manager will oversee the formulation and execution of the Health and Housing Community Plan. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including advisory groups and community organizations, to ensure the integration of health and housing services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Health and Housing Community Planning Table and advisory groups to develop and implement a comprehensive community plan.
  • Facilitate community engagement and consultation processes to gather input and feedback on health and housing initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform planning strategies and ensure alignment with community needs.
  • Organize and lead public forums, stakeholder meetings, and other events to promote community involvement.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities within the health and housing systems and recommend actionable strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial and federal guidelines related to health and housing.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • A four-year degree in community planning or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in community planning, with a focus on health and social services.
  • Strong knowledge of health care, mental health, and social service delivery systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Experience in analyzing data and developing strategies based on community needs.
