Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Management Director to oversee our Clinical Information Systems and ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement best practice guidelines and legislation related to Clinical Information Systems and patients' rights
  • Design and maintain privacy policies and procedures
  • Manage privacy requests, investigations, assessments, and breach management
  • Plan for emergency situations and disaster recovery
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and industry associations
  • Lead health information service teams and committees
  • Provide expertise on privacy laws and consent forms
  • Manage complaints and privacy risk assessments
  • Ensure data protection and privacy practices
  • Support data collection, reporting, and analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Health Administration in Health Information Management
  • Certification by Health Record Administrators College
  • Member of Health Information Management Associations
  • 5 years of relevant experience and management skills
  • Knowledge of health information systems and privacy laws
  • Experience with policy development and training
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
