Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at Shared Health. As a Nurse 2 - Client-Centered Care Specialist, you will provide high-quality care to youth clients engaged in addiction treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide client-centered care to youth clients, demonstrating empathy and compassion in all interactions.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, promoting a culture of safety and quality care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
  • Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Minimum one year experience in individual and group counseling, as well as nursing experience.
  • Knowledge of current nursing theory and practice, as well as addiction treatment principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations and knowledge of Indigenous health issues.
  • Knowledge of the addictions field and experience in mental health.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English, with French and Indigenous language skills an asset.
