Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, providing services to youth clients and demonstrating a commitment to client-centered care. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of current nursing theory and practice, and experience in individual and group counseling.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing services to youth clients engaged in addiction treatment
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
- Maintain accurate and confidential records
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program
- Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Minimum one year experience in individual and group counseling
- Minimum one year nursing experience
- Knowledge of the addictions field and experience in mental health
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in English
- French and Indigenous language skills
