Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at HLL Consulting. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations to optimize HR operations.
  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure seamless HR service delivery.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs to support business objectives.
  • Review HR projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Train staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Mediate labor disputes and grievances to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations to ensure accurate job descriptions and salary scales.
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to support HR operations.
  • Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information to inform HR decisions.
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices to recommend improvements.
  • Oversee the development of communication strategies to engage employees and promote HR initiatives.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports to inform HR decisions and support business objectives.
  • Advise senior management on HR matters to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints to provide timely and effective support.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to ensure effective HR service delivery.
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers to ensure fair and equitable labor practices.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
  • Provide customer service to employees and management to ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures to enhance HR operations and support business objectives.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
