Culinary Services Supervisor

The Culinary Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of food service within a dynamic environment. This role involves managing staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation personnel.
- Training: Provide training to team members on job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
- Resource Estimation: Assess and estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that food and service adhere to established quality control standards.
- Customer Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns effectively.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on operations and performance.
- Order Management: Compile food order summaries for the culinary team.
- Tray Assembly Supervision: Oversee the assembly of food trays to ensure accuracy and presentation.
- Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Manage a team of 5-10 individuals, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Safety and SecurityAll candidates must undergo a criminal record check as part of the hiring process.
Work EnvironmentThis position is situated in a fast-paced food service establishment, requiring prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with a keen attention to detail.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program of 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Proactive approach and initiative in problem-solving.
