About the Role

Gould Fasteners Limited is seeking a highly skilled Machining and Tooling Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our machined parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Measurement: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, maintaining accurate inspection records and completing inspection reports.
  • Dimensional Verification: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, ensuring conformance to specifications.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in machining and tooling inspection.
