Job Summary
Thompson Rivers University is seeking a qualified instructor to teach the STSS Personal and Academic Success Strategies course. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver course materials and lesson plans that align with the course objectives
• Teach students methodologies and strategies necessary for ongoing academic success and a healthy university/life balance
• Cover topics such as time management, learning styles, reading strategies, test taking, communication, diversity, group dynamics, and money management
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes intercultural understanding and empathy
• Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback

Qualifications
• Master's degree in a relevant field required
• Teaching Certificate, or Instructor's Diploma, or 5 years teaching experience plus evidence of engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning required
• Experience teaching students with diverse educational, social, and economic backgrounds
• Skills in building intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect preferred
• Experience integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods preferred
• Teaching excellence, including developing culturally appropriate curricula, preferred
