Thompson Rivers University is seeking a Community Coordinator to represent the university in the communities of Barriere, Chase, Clearwater, Lillooet, Williams Lake, and Kamloops. The successful candidate will provide programming, services, and support to the region, working closely with local educators, Indigenous groups, businesses, and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments and maintain relationships with local stakeholders to identify program requirements and demands.
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations, industry, and government agencies to provide relevant training.
  • Prepare proposals, schedules, and financial records for courses and programs.
  • Recruit instructors, schedule courses, and ensure marketing materials meet TRU standards.
  • Conduct regular advertising and promotion of courses and programs.
Requirements
  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business or Education.
  • Provincial Instructor's Diploma preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and communication skills.
  • Significant coordination experience and project management skills.
  • Culturally sensitive and inclusive.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
