Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply, modify, and remove casts, splints, and traction devices for patients with orthopaedic conditions.
  • Monitor and document changes in patients' physical and emotional well-being, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Deliver safe and effective care that aligns with the organization's mission and values.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Technician training program.
  • Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in a tertiary care facility's Emergency Department.
  • Recent acute or critical care experience within the last two years.
