Job Summary:

Interior Health Authority is seeking a motivated and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with recent supervisory experience to fill a Team Leader position in our Home Support Services team. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team of LPNs, Community Health Workers, and other unregulated members, overseeing the implementation of client care plans, and providing training and evaluation of care provided by staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of LPNs, Community Health Workers, and other unregulated members to ensure safe and individualized client-centered care.
  • Oversee the implementation of client care plans and provide training and evaluation of care provided by staff.
  • Advocate for changes that improve client care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to perform assessments, make nursing diagnoses, and implement personal and nursing care for clients in a community health setting.
  • Provide nursing care within the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and within employer policies, procedures, limits, and conditions.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Recent supervisory experience as an LPN.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
