Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse Team Leader

We are seeking a motivated and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with recent supervisory experience to join our team as a Team Leader in Penticton, B.C.

Job Summary:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced LPN to continue to develop and enhance their first-line supervisory skill-set. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating Home Support Services by supervising LPNs, Community Health Workers, and other unregulated members of the team. You will oversee the implementation of client care plans, provide training and evaluation of care provided by staff, and advocate for changes that improve client care.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate Home Support Services
  • Oversee the implementation of client care plans
  • Provide training and evaluation of care provided by staff
  • Advocate for changes that improve client care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to perform assessments, make nursing diagnoses, and implement personal and nursing care for clients in a community health setting
Requirements:

This position requires a strong understanding of the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and employer policies, procedures, limits, and conditions. You must be confident and experienced in providing direction and assignments to staff, organizing workflow, and ensuring that safe and individualized client-centered care is always delivered.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $34.20 to $42.79, effective April 1, 2024. This is a casual position, which means there are no guaranteed hours, and work requirements may vary each week. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent part-time or full-time positions.
