Nurse Team Leader

We are seeking a motivated and organized Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with recent supervisory experience to join our team as a Team Leader in Penticton, B.C.

Job Summary:This is a great opportunity for an experienced LPN to continue to develop and enhance their first-line supervisory skill-set. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing direction and assignments to staff, organizing workflow, and ensuring safe and individualized client-centered care is delivered.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (CCLPNs), Community Health Workers (CHWs), and other unregulated members of the team.
- Coordinate Home Support Services by overseeing the implementation of client care plans, providing training, and evaluating care provided by staff.
- Advocate for changes that improve client care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Perform assessments, make nursing diagnoses, implement, and provide personal and nursing care for clients in a community health setting.
This position requires a strong understanding of the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and employer policies, procedures, limits, and conditions. A casual position means there are no guaranteed hours, and work requirements may vary each week.
Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent part-time or full-time positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual on-call positions and lead to regular employment.
Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $34.20 to $42.79.
