Key Responsibilities- Mentor and Guide Junior Data Engineers
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers, promoting a culture of excellence and growth within the team.
Engage with CustomersWork closely with customers to facilitate compliant access to sensitive data, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of data protection.
Lead Data Pipeline ManagementOversee the management and optimization of data pipelines for compliance processing within our data ecosystem, ensuring that our services are efficient, scalable, and secure.
Collaborate with SRE TeamWork closely with our SRE team to develop and maintain a robust and compliant data infrastructure, minimizing friction and ensuring seamless integration with our services.
Build APIs and IntegrationsDesign and implement APIs for integration with our internal systems and third-party services, ensuring seamless data exchange and compliance with data governance standards.
Maintain Data QualityEnsure the highest standards of data quality, pursuing continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
About You- 7-8 Years of Experience
Minimum 7-8 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a strong background in data governance and compliance.
Programming LanguagesProficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python, etc.
Cloud ComputingExperience in production with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.
Streaming TechnologiesExpertise in both streaming and batch-based streaming technologies, including Flink, Kafka, Spark.
Containerization and DeploymentProduction experience with version control tools and a validated understanding of containerization, build, and deployment processes.
Problem-Solving and Analytical SkillsExcellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity in an effort to provide efficient solutions for sophisticated problems.
Privacy LegislationFamiliarity with privacy legislation and understanding of its implications on data collection, reporting, and compliance.
Interpersonal SkillsGood interpersonal skills and ability to work with data partners independently.
Bonus Points- Previous Experience in Compliance
Previous experience in leading compliance-related initiatives relating directly to data and privacy legislation (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, etc.).
