Veterinary Marketing Leader

The Director of Veterinary Marketing is tasked with crafting and implementing comprehensive marketing initiatives tailored for the Veterinary sector to achieve organizational goals. This role involves analyzing customer insights, market dynamics, feedback from sales teams, and competitor intelligence to shape the marketing approach and adapt plans as necessary. The ideal candidate will guide the Marketing team, enhancing capabilities and fostering engagement.
Key Qualifications:- Degree from a recognized University or College.
- Over 8 years of experience in Marketing and/or Sales.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- 5+ years of management experience, with a focus on Project Management being advantageous.
- Experience in the Veterinary and/or Pharmaceutical sectors is preferred.
- Familiarity with the Veterinary Distributor framework is a plus.
- Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Willingness to travel and collaborate with a global team of professionals.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is advantageous.
- Team Development and Leadership: Cultivate the functional skills and engagement within the local marketing team. Create tailored training programs for team members. Foster a high-performance collaboration framework within the marketing department. Build strong relationships with the North American and Global teams.
- Strategic Leadership & Vision Management: Spearhead the marketing strategy for the Veterinary business unit, including specific category plans and digital service initiatives to meet objectives. Effectively communicate and align the Veterinary Sales team with this vision to drive growth and recommendations for Connect Pet Expo. Actively participate in the Veterinary Management Team to guide the strategic direction of the division.
- Marketing Innovations and Asset Management: Oversee portfolio performance, SKU optimization, and pricing strategies. Develop and implement localized marketing strategies and activation plans. Lead the launch of new innovations in collaboration with global and regional teams. Drive programs that enhance Veterinary recommendations and overall category growth through effective promotional strategies.
- Operational Planning and Financial Accountability: Responsible for achieving financial targets, including Net Sales and earnings. Collaborate with Sales and Scientific Communication teams to set annual plans. Engage with North American teams and Global stakeholders for activity management.
- Market Analysis and Demand Generation: Monitor market trends and category performance with support from Category management. Set pricing strategies for the veterinary portfolio. Collaborate with the Veterinary ecosystem to enhance mutual partnerships.
- Quality Assurance and Internal Processes: Lead inventory management through supply chain collaboration. Manage customer communications in conjunction with Corporate Affairs and Legal teams. Participate in key processes such as S&OP and DMR, ensuring adherence to Quality Management processes.
