Mandate
As the Division Country Leader, you are responsible for the organization of Puresource in terms of operational efficiency, financial results, manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, IT, customer service, quality, sales and marketing as well as commercial development.
You will provide strategic direction by working with management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
You must be willing to learn, understand, and be an advocate for the NOW Culture, Values, and Operating Tenets.
The ideal candidate would be a business leader, with a proven track record of profitably growing a division of a large company.
As the Division Country Leader, you will be expected to actively listen and seek learning opportunities, demonstrating intellectual curiosity in understanding key processes within our business.
Additionally, your experience in reporting to a parent corporation outside of Canada will be valuable in this role.
It is essential that you embody the qualities of a servant leader, prioritizing the needs of your team and fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Accountabilities
The position will include the following responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and work with management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies for NOW Health Group. Drive the division towards exceeding objectives and financial goals.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency across various functions, including manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, IT, customer service, quality, sales and marketing, and commercial development. Continuously improve processes and implement best practices to optimize productivity and quality.
- Financial Management: Take responsibility for the division's P&L and operational activities. Define and implement annual budget plans, monitor financial performance, and drive profitability. Understand key financial metrics and make data-driven decisions to achieve financial goals.
- Manufacturing and Distribution: Oversee manufacturing and distribution activities to meet quality and productivity goals. Establish production and non-production standards, cost controls, and safety protocols. Implement world-class manufacturing systems and optimize warehouse operations.
- Purchasing and Inventory Management:
Direct purchasing activities to ensure quality and supply within budget and space constraints.
Implement material requirements planning (MRP) and other tools to improve purchasing performance.
Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize inventory turnover.
- Sales and Customer Service:
Drive sales across multiple product lines and ensure exceptional customer service.
Develop and implement sales strategies to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets.
Foster a customer-focused environment and build strong relationships with major customers.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of employees, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to ensure the team's success and professional development.
- External Relationships: Act as the principal liaison for NOW Health Group in relationships with major customers, suppliers, competitors, and government agencies. Represent the division externally and build strong partnerships to drive business growth.
- Safety and Compliance: Take responsibility for workplace health, safety, and security. Ensure safety issues are addressed with priority in resource planning and daily operations. Fulfill responsibilities outlined in the company safety management plan and comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead special projects involving process improvement for manufacturing and distribution activities. Evaluate companies for acquisition potential. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and change to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A strong educational background, preferably with a bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year university program. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with distribution and inventory management is required, preferably in a food-related industry.
- At least 10+ years' experience in successfully managing multiple FDA-governed manufacturing facilities as well as the Canadian food safety agencies (NHPD, CFIA and Health Canada). Responsibility for at least 200 employees.
- Experience working in the natural products industry or with a supplement company is desirable.
- Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends and incorporate them into the organizational plan. Develop a clear vision for the division and align strategies to achieve long-term goals.
- Effectively build organization and staff capacity, developing a top-notch workforce and processes that ensure smooth operations. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
