Financial Officer Job Description at Impact Kitchen

**About the Role**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Officer to join our team at Impact Kitchen. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

**Responsibilities**

* Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial reports
* Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely payment to employees
* Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
* Prepare tax returns and other financial documents as required

**Requirements**

* College diploma or equivalent in accounting or finance
* 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and organizational skills

**Work Environment**

* 30-40 hours per week
* Permanent full-time position
* English language required
