Job Description for Registered Nurse at RhynoCare

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Excellent Nursing Care: Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
  • Assess and Plan Care: Assess the needs of residents and develop individualized care plans to meet their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
  • Implement and Evaluate Care: Implement care plans and evaluate their effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure Resident Safety: Ensure the safe transfer and discharge of residents, and maintain a safe environment for all residents.
  • Manage Medications: Ensure the safe storage, administration, and disposal of medications, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
  • Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
  • Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Clearances: Medical Clearance, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
