Position Overview: As a Lead Structural Engineer, you will spearhead and manage engineering initiatives ranging from small to large-scale projects, guiding them from initial design through to tendering, construction, and operational phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and constructing dams, hydraulic structures, and related civil engineering projects.
  • Proficient in the design, tendering, and construction of water infrastructure and civil works.
  • Experience in structural design using materials such as steel, concrete, and wood.
  • Familiarity with building and design codes applicable to structural projects.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software, including Midas, RISA, and SAP.
  • Experience in managing construction contracts, including submittal reviews and site inspections.

Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in preparing proposals, technical reports, construction specifications, and project correspondence to effectively convey technical information.

Organizational Skills: Demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational capabilities, with a proven ability to lead teams in delivering high-quality project outcomes on schedule and within budget.

Team Collaboration: Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CDA and other dam safety design guidelines, as well as industry-recognized technical manuals related to hydraulic structure design.

Additional Assets: Experience in dam safety inspections, reviews, failure mode assessments, and risk evaluations is advantageous.

Mentorship Commitment: A dedication to mentoring and training junior team members is essential.

Client Relations: A collaborative approach to building long-term, successful relationships with clients and project teams is vital.
