Position Overview

If you are pursuing a career in therapeutic services, healthcare, education, or a related discipline, this role may be a perfect fit for you.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide support and companionship to our wonderful young adult son during various scheduled activities and adaptive programming.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidates will possess a kind heart and a good sense of humor.
The right individuals will embrace every opportunity to learn alongside our son, aiding him in achieving independence and fulfillment in his daily routines.
While prior experience in disability support, education, health, or social sciences is not mandatory, it will be considered a valuable asset.

A current Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) is required.
A copy of the current Driver's Abstract may also be requested.

Responsibilities

Support will be provided in various areas, including:
- Assisting with sports and physical activities, community events, and respite care both in-home and out-of-home.
- Ensuring safe transportation to and from scheduled activities.
- Collaborating with the care team, including family members, therapists, coaches, and other professionals, to develop and implement effective support plans.
- Participating in training and certification programs related to disability care.

Throughout all responsibilities, the focus will be on fostering enjoyable and healthy connections, enhancing life skills, and ensuring safety.

Compensation

The starting pay rate is $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Commitment

Positions are currently available, with time commitments tailored to scheduled events and individual availability.
