Overview
The Technical Service Representative (TSR) plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of equipment and systems for our clients. This position is vital for maintaining the highest standards of service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance to guarantee equipment functionality for users.
- Operate equipment (printing, scanning, copying) to produce required documents, including the use of finishing devices.
- Act as the primary liaison for clients regarding maintenance, production, and supply management of assigned equipment.
- Maintain effective communication with clients about equipment status and availability.
- Proactively manage the replacement of consumables and supplies as necessary.
- Provide training to clients on product usage to enhance their understanding of equipment capabilities.
- Collaborate with Managed & Technical Services teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Report activities accurately and promptly using designated reporting tools.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective management and collaboration with Xerox personnel as needed.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to optimize equipment performance and uptime.
Required Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a technical knowledge assessment.
- A valid driver's license is essential for travel to client locations (company vehicle provided).
- Proven experience in delivering services in an on-site client environment with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Previous experience as a field technician or in electrical/mechanical repair is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with a diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance and repair of electronic, electrical, or mechanical printing and computing equipment.
- Strong organizational abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and internet navigation.
- Basic understanding of network printing processes.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds.
