Job Summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking a highly skilled Philanthropic Advisory Specialist to provide strategic advice and guidance to high net worth individuals and business owners in developing their family philanthropic and legacy plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement philanthropic strategies and solutions that leverage expertise in Canadian tax rules and issues unique to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals.
  • Partner with RBC Wealth Management advisors and Family Office Services tax, legal, business owner, and financial planning specialists to identify and pursue new philanthropy wealth planning engagements.
  • Deliver customized memos or PowerPoint presentations summarizing strategies and discussions to facilitate implementation of recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the strategic vision and long-term goals for the RBC Charitable Gift Program in alignment with Wealth Management Canada's mission, values, and goals.
Requirements
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required.
  • University degree.
  • 10 years or more of related experience in accounting, tax law, wealth planning, or philanthropy.
  • Strong knowledge and technical proficiency related to charitable giving strategies, issues, and trends.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills to build deep, trusted partnerships with target clients.
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate and partner with colleagues at all levels across a global matrix organization.
