Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Job Summary:

The Churchill Health Centre is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on all Churchill Health Centre property and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all Churchill Health Centre property and equipment.
  • Recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance plans of action when tasks or assignments appear to be beyond local capacity.
  • Log repairs, notes, and reports potential or new repairs.
  • Assist in preventative maintenance programs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a part of a maintenance team is an asset.
  • Minimum Grade twelve education or equivalency.
  • Valid Driver's License necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on all building, equipment, and grounds owned and operated by the Churchill Health Centre.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices and environment.
  • Working knowledge of Fire and Building Codes.
  • Pro-active problem-solving skills, and demonstrated ability to operate on own initiative.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be available to take twenty-four hour on-call.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and its importance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Possible heavy lifting.
  • Possible posture and muscle problems.
  • Possible exposure to hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Other demands as it pertains to position.
  • Possible exposure to communicable diseases.
  • Extreme outside weather conditions.
