About the Role

Xpera is seeking a highly skilled National Property Specialist to join our team. As a National Property Specialist, you will be responsible for providing building specifications for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. You will work closely with our team to provide accurate and timely valuations, bid tendering documents, and catastrophe appraisals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform site inspections, quality surveying, measuring, and specifications to provide pricing of various structures.
  • Produce specification bid documents, including general conditions, specifications, scope of work, and bid sheets for building damage repair.
  • Provide recommendations on protection from further damage and recommendations to repair or replace buildings.
  • Verify the type and cause of damage, including hail, water, and other factors.
  • Complete cost audits and file reviews on jobs.
  • Provide valuation appraisals on residential and commercial buildings.
  • Recommend costing and length of time to repair or replace dwellings.
  • Submit well-written, documented appraisals and reports.
  • Adhere to Xpera's quality standards for appraisals, file audits, and reviews.
  • Meet productivity requirements, including a minimum of 37.5 billable hours weekly and 1950 billable hours annually.
  • Promote Xpera's services to ClaimsPro adjusters to help achieve annual post-loss appraisal revenue targets.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Construction, Building Science, Construction Management, Architectural, or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of estimating and project management experience in construction, restoration, or insurance.
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate Estimating Software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and good computer skills.
  • Ability to learn various electronic and manual estimating systems.
  • Exposure to construction industry and interpretation of building codes.
Work Environment

Xpera's National Property Specialist will be mobile and physically able to investigate scenes, work varied hours, and travel extensively. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required. The ability to lift/move up to 40lbs and sit, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, and climb to investigate damaged property is also necessary.
