Job Title: National Property Specialist

At Xpera, we are seeking a highly skilled National Property Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing building specifications for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform replacement cost and actual cash value valuations on various properties.
  • Produce specification bid documents, including general conditions, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Provide recommendations on protection from further damage and repair or replacement of buildings.
  • Verify the type and cause of damage, including hail, water, and other factors.
  • Complete cost audits and file reviews on jobs.
  • Provide valuation appraisals on residential and commercial buildings.
  • Recommend costing and length of time to repair or replace dwellings.
  • Submit well-written, documented appraisals and reports.
  • Adhere to Xpera's quality standards for appraisals, file audits, and reviews.
  • Meet productivity requirements, including invoicing a minimum of 37.5 billable hours weekly.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Construction, Building Science, Construction Management, Architectural, or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of estimating and project management experience in construction, restoration, or insurance.
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate Estimating Software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and good computer skills.
  • Ability to learn various electronic and manual estimating systems.
  • Exposure to construction industry and interpretation of building codes.
Environment/Work Conditions:
  • Must be mobile and physically able to investigate scenes, when required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, and climb to investigate damaged property.
