We are in search of a committed, enthusiastic, and goal-driven individual to assume the role of Key Account Manager for Manitoba. Key Responsibilities:

  • The Key Account Manager for Manitoba will be tasked with forecasting, developing promotional and sales strategies, and managing customer relationships to achieve sales targets while overseeing the Field Sales Team.
  • This role requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance sales in Manitoba through strategic portfolio management.
  • The primary goal is to address the daily requirements of the market and sales team, securing provincial listings and marketing approvals to boost the sales of Arterra Wines Canada's portfolio in both volume and revenue share, establishing the company as the preferred supplier in this prominent role.
  • Direct accountability for meeting annual sales volume targets and providing accurate forecasts.
  • Employ the Arterra Wines Canada sales methodology to enhance volume, revenue, and market share while ensuring robust EBIT and ROI.
  • As the main point of contact and expert, this role will ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on plans and promotional strategies, including forecasting, new product applications, and competitive promotional tracking.
  • Thorough knowledge of MBLL, its policies, regulations, and key personnel is essential.
  • The Key Account Manager will develop the MBLL Strategic Account Plan, identifying opportunities and risks while crafting category strategies to exceed sales volume expectations against competitors.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key MBLL contacts, positioning Arterra Wines Canada as a trusted supplier.
  • Adopt a proactive and collaborative approach with departments such as Customer Solutions, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Consumer Insights to drive MBLL outcomes and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Create and deliver compelling, data-driven category presentations with in-depth analysis.
  • Oversee all aspects of the New Product Development process for the Manitoba market, including timely negotiations for new product listings.
  • Conduct detailed monthly reviews of portfolio performance, including bi-annual business reviews with both customers and internal teams.
  • Lead the annual planning process for the Manitoba market.
  • Manage inventory for MBLL, collaborating with the Sales Operations Manager to influence purchasing requirements.
  • Oversee inventory and forecasting to meet the demand for targeted initiatives.
  • Perform post-promotional analyses.
  • Set and manage annual goals and monthly targets for the Field Sales Team.
  • Provide coaching and development for the Field Sales Team.
  • Engage in industry-related events.

Qualifications:

  • A University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
  • A proven track record in a similar role with 3-5 years of experience.
  • WSET or ISG Certification is an asset.
  • Experience in Key Account Management at a Head Office level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Negotiation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and refined presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the capacity to effectively engage with customers and colleagues.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, as well as web-based tools.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • A genuine interest and passion for the beverage alcohol industry.
  • Ability to lift wine cases weighing up to 45 pounds.
