Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the accounting and financial operations of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Requirements
  • CPA designation and 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and social skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of accounting professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing company environment.
  • Experience working in a public accounting environment is highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced credentials such as a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Experience in manufacturing or public practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
