Job Summary:
The Government of Manitoba seeks a highly skilled Strategic Communications Manager to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Public Education and Stakeholder Information Program. This program aims to increase investor knowledge and competency, heighten public awareness, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Manitoba Financial Services Agency (MFSA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive programs and initiatives to educate the general public, MFSA staff, and education systems in Manitoba and across the country.
- Communicate MFSA bulletins, investor alerts, orders, decisions, and policy announcements through various media channels.
- Manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and work collaboratively with internal clients, project teams, external suppliers, and partners.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate paid advertising campaigns to promote MFSA services and initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic communications plans and ensure effective communication of MFSA's mission and goals.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Education or Communications, or a related field, plus extensive experience in education and communications.
- Extensive experience in media relations, issues management, and project management.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe products.
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the securities industry or financial services industry.
