Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Strategic Initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive process optimization and enhanced service delivery in preparation for election events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a framework for ongoing environmental scanning and analysis to identify current and emerging issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports, discussion papers, and briefing notes on strategic issues.
  • Develop and pursue strategic partnership opportunities that align with our goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to longer-term strategic planning for the organization.
  • Support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in the development of accountability mechanisms.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline, such as Business Administration or Public Administration.
  • Extensive experience in conducting and preparing legislative, regulatory, jurisdictional, and policy research and analysis.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, with experience in research and analysis.
  • Strong political acumen, with the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive material and situations.
  • Proven capability to identify and deliver key strategic insights, counsel, and policy to decision-makers.
  • Experience supervising teams, leading, managing, and coordinating projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, foster innovation, and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands within tight timelines.
  • Experience using data analysis tools and modeling to support business case development, impact analysis, and cost estimations.
