Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to support our goal of growing and being recognized as a main player in Canada. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our existing clients and project base in Canada and positioning our firm to acquire new business in the Mobility sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop objectives and strategies in support of overall business development management goals in the target market segments.
  2. Identify priorities and strategic opportunities in the Canadian market.
  3. Contribute to the growth of Sener en Ingeniería in Canada through business development, key pursuit, and sales strategy.
  4. Lead and/or conduct business development efforts, including market research, client relationships, teaming process, developing bids, and securing contracts.
  5. Work effectively with our proposals and bid team.
  6. Negotiate with and/or assist in negotiations with clients, partners, and subcontractors.
  7. Utilize, maintain, and monitor the opportunity pipeline to optimize business development plans.
  8. Partner with market leaders to drive collaboration on pursuits.
  9. Ensure local marketplace reputation through established relationships and support of leadership.
  10. Accountable to achieve organic growth targets.
Requirements
  1. Elite Business Development and relationship building skills.
  2. 8-10 years of experience in business development at the Director or Senior Manager level.
  3. Deep knowledge of the local business market from a technical and business standpoint.
  4. A proven track record of establishing and maintaining client relationships in the Canadian rail civil engineering market.
  5. Business analytical skills and knowledge of advanced negotiating approaches and tactics.
  6. Ability to maintain existing client relationships in addition to developing new ones.
  7. Ability to report data and analyze data for relevant trends.
  8. Well-organized, energetic, and able to work well under pressure.
  9. Ability to work independently and take discretionary initiative.
  10. Good communication and presentation skills.
  11. Ability to speak Spanish is an asset but not mandatory.
  12. Engineering background is an asset in Civil or Rail Engineering.
  13. Strong computer proficiency, especially PowerPoint, and Excel.
  14. Entrepreneurial attitude and mindset.
