Your Opportunity:

Working independently and reporting to a Zone Manager (Manager, Public Health Population Health Promotion), the Health Promotion Administrative Support provides essential administrative assistance to Health Promotion Services staff and other AHS staff and community partners. This support encompasses communication, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion strategies within a team of 20+ professionals.

Description:

As an Administrative Support III, you will leverage advanced administrative or specialized skills to effectively manage complex procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and distribute health promotion information and correspondence.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of health promotion initiatives and services.
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including agenda creation, minute recording, and virtual meeting arrangements using platforms like Zoom and Teams.
  • Provide administrative support for clinical services in Oral Health and Community Health Rep programs, encompassing scheduling, documentation, and follow-up within the Connect Care environment.
  • Maintain departmental resources and equipment, including fleet vehicles, oral health equipment, and supplies.
  • Offer administrative assistance to staff in areas such as payroll and expense claims, as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a public health or healthcare setting.
  • Connect Care training and experience are beneficial.
  • e-People training is an asset.
