Position Overview

The School of Environmental Sciences at Lethbridge College is seeking qualified Sessional Instructors to contribute to our academic programs. This role involves teaching, developing curriculum, and building connections within the Resource Enforcement sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging instruction across various sections.
  • Participate in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Design and prepare instructional materials, including presentations and demonstrations.
  • Mentor students through their individual projects, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages collaboration and creativity.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within a faculty team.
Course Offerings

The successful candidates will instruct courses within the Natural Resource Compliance diploma and Conservation Enforcement degree programs, which are designed in collaboration with industry stakeholders. Instructors will guide students through a blend of lectures, labs, and field experiences.

Qualifications
  • Experience in the natural resource enforcement sector, including roles such as Fish & Wildlife, Conservation, and Environmental Officers.
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in conservation enforcement or a related field, complemented by substantial industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
