The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist Lead to join our team at Trace Associates Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a meaningful impact in the field of environmental science.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead field programs within the assessment and remediation practice area, with opportunities for cross-training in reclamation and natural sciences.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to junior professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, landowners, stakeholders, and regulators, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Deliver detailed project management and reporting support, ensuring timely and accurate results.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from a college or university with a diploma or degree in a science, engineering, or agriculture program with an environmental focus, and eligible for or holding a professional designation from AIA, ASPB, or APEGA.
  • 5-10 years of field and office experience working in assessment and remediation practice areas, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in leading and overseeing assessment and remediation projects, including contractor supervision, sample selection for laboratory analysis, topsoil and subsoil management, reclamation, and revegetation.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, guidelines, and permit application processes, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles and hold a valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Project management and native grassland experience is an asset.
