Job Title: Sessional Instructors

Position Information

Job Summary

Lethbridge College is seeking highly qualified and experienced instructors to teach in our Conservation Enforcement and Natural Resource Compliance programs. As a Sessional Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, curriculum development, and fostering relationships with industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and teach multiple sections of courses, including lectures, labs, and field experiences
  • Develop and implement curriculum related to conservation enforcement and natural resource compliance
  • Engage with students, providing feedback and guidance on individual project work
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering collaboration and creativity among students
  • Design instructional materials, presentations, and demonstrations
  • Participate in faculty team development and implementation of course-related initiatives
Courses

The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses, including:

  • CEN 2259 Operational Procedures Lecture and Labs
  • CEN 3357 Environmental Compliance Techniques
  • ENV 2265 Parks and Recreation Operations Labs
  • CEN 3354 Administrative Procedures
  • LAW 1150 Introduction to Environmental Law
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the natural resource enforcement field, including Fish & Wildlife, Conservation, Fisheries, Environmental, and Wildlife Officers
  • Minimum educational background is a bachelor's degree in conservation enforcement or closely related discipline, combined with significant industry experience
  • Experience in the field is a must
  • Self-motivated and able to work positively in a team environment

Lethbridge College offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a pension plan.
