Job Title: Environmental Sciences Instructor

Lethbridge College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Sciences Instructor to join our team. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Conservation Enforcement and Natural Resource Compliance programs.

About the Position

This is a full-time, sessional position that will run from September 2024 to April 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching multiple sections of courses, including CEN 2259 Operational Procedures, CEN 3357 Environmental Compliance Techniques, and ENV 2265 Parks and Recreation Operations Labs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in our Conservation Enforcement and Natural Resource Compliance programs
  • Develop and implement course materials, presentations, and demonstrations
  • Guide and mentor students in their individual project work, providing feedback and support
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering collaboration, creativity, and exploration among students
  • Engage as a member of a larger faculty team in the development and implementation of course-related or curricular initiatives
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the natural resource enforcement field, including Fish & Wildlife, Conservation, Fisheries, Environmental and Wildlife Officers
  • Minimum educational background is a bachelor's degree in conservation enforcement or closely related discipline in combination with significant industry experience
  • Experience in the field is a must
  • Self-motivated and able to work positively in a team environment
